Segment #1: Collaborating with Others
Importance of effective working relationships between paraprofessionals and school team
members and effective strategies to improve communication and collaborative practices.

Segment #2: Providing Academic and Social Supports
Focuses on specific tools and strategies for providing students with academic and social
supports.

Segment #3: Providing Behavior Supports
The session helps paraprofessionals understand that student behavior is communication and that challenging behavior is evidence of students asking for help, for new tools, for connection, for support, and/or guidance. This session will provide paraprofessionals with tools for working alongside colleagues to provide students with those necessary supports for which the students may be communicating.

Target Audience: Special Education Paraprofessionals
