Hand2Mind Presents: Enhancing Small Group Instruction Aligned with STR




      


Engaging young learners in scientifically-based literacy activities is crucial for building foundational skills in reading and writing. This presentation explores the effective integration of manipulatives in elementary literacy small groups to enhance learning experiences and promote skill development aligned with Reading Academies content and the Science of Teaching Reading components.

During this session, Hand2Mind Literacy specialists will lead participants in discovering the benefits of incorporating manipulatives such as magnetic letters, Elkonin sound boxes, and interactive games into small group literacy instruction. Participants will delve into various strategies and activities designed to target phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, and fluency within small group settings.
