Conducting Comprehensive SLD/Dyslexia Evaluations

      


During this two-day session and utilizing the Dyslexia Handbook as our guide, participants will acquire knowledge and skills in the overall process for conducting a comprehensive, multidisciplinary evaluation of students suspected of having a specific learning disability/dyslexia. Participants will increase their awareness of the critical components to include in dyslexia evaluations in the state of Texas.  This presentation will further explain how to synthesize multiple sources of data to process and implement best practices for a comprehensive assessment using a case study approach.  

 

On day two, we will use a step-by-step process to look at test procedures for the administration of the CTOPP-2, GORT-5 and TWS-5. All three assessment measures may be used to assist with the identification of dyslexia.

 

All participants are encouraged to bring their test kits with them on day 2 for practice purposes.
