Participants will get an overview on how to conduct multidisciplinary SLD/Dyslexia evaluations. Gain an understanding of the necessary components of an SLD/Dyslexia evaluation as outlined in the Dyslexia Handbook. Discuss best practices when assessment planning among the SLP, diagnostician and person knowledgeable of the reading process, dyslexia and related disorders, and dyslexia instruction. Discuss interpretation of the multiple sources of data obtained by all evaluators. Further, gain an understanding of how to write up a comprehensive FIE report that will include the impact and need statement, which will then assist the ARD committee with developing the PLAAFP and measurable annual goals and objectives.
