This presentation serves to reflect on the educational need for addressing the social repertoire of students with autism.  Many times, educators and related service providers jump straight into social skills instruction. Social skills assessments are often overlooked and underutilized, and serve as an important first step in the development of effective social skills instruction.  This training will review social skills assessments and strategies for supporting social skills development with autistic students.
