Behavior Classroom Cohort

      


Teaching is hard, but teaching students in a behavior classroom brings its own special set of challenges. If you are looking for relevant training, resources, classroom coaching and peer support, the Behavior Classroom Cohort is for you. 


Fill your toolbox by receiving training to help you reach and teach your students with ED. You will receive a copy of the Teacher’s Encyclopedia of Behavior Management and will learn how to use it to guide you in addressing specific behaviors. A program coordinator will visit your classroom each semester and followed by a coaching session to answer questions and help you put what you learn in the cohort into action. You will have a group of teachers, just like you, to collaborate with and learn from while building a supportive network of educators around Region 5 that teach some of our most challenging students.


We will meet as a whole group once per semester and then as separate groups, secondary in the morning and primary in the afternoon. Please review the dates listed below:


September 15 - full day for all participants

October 20: 8:30 - 11:30 MS/HS; 12:30 - 3:30 ES

November 17: 8:30 - 11:30 MS/HS; 12:30 - 3:30 ES

January 19 - full day full day for all participants

March 9: 8:30 - 11:30 MS/HS; 12:30 - 3:30 ES

April 20: 8:30 - 11:30 MS/HS; 12:30 - 3:30 ES

 

Participants will receive Safe & Civil Schools' Encyclopedia for Behavior Management ($65 value)

Participants will also receive 1 classroom observation with follow-up 1:1 coaching per semester
