HB 3906 eliminates the stand-alone writing assessments for grades 4 and 7 writing assessments beginning with the 2021-22 school year and will influence a redesign of the reading language arts (RLA) STAAR. 

This workshop will cover the changes made to the test and what teachers and students can expect from the 2021/22 RLA STAAR test and the transition to the 2022/23 RLA STAAR test.
