From FBA to BIP: Meaningful Behavior Intervention




      


This training provides step by step guidance and an in-depth look at implementing a meaningful behavioral intervention with fidelity. Attendees will learn how to conduct an FBA and the components of a quality Behavior Intervention Plan.  Additionally, attendees will explore advanced topics related to behavioral Intervention and quality report writing alongside the need for establishing and maintaining high ethical standards while intervening in challenging behavior. Attendees should be prepared to review and critically evaluate procedures to improve professional practice.

 

BIO:
Ambra Sherrod M.S. served as a special education teacher for 10 years.  In that time she received over 300 hours of training on behavioral principles and communication intervention from the Central Texas Autism Center’s Trainer of Teachers program. She has a MS in Special education from TAMUCC and studied Applied Behavior Analysis with UNT. Currently she is a doctoral student and also works as an Autism and Special Education Specialist at Region 2’s education service center. Her areas of expertise include communication intervention utilizing behavioral principles and developing skills based Interventions for severe problem behavior.
