Texas Infant Toddler Early Learning Guidelines and How Knowing These Can Help Preschool Teachers: Cognitive Development




      


The Texas Infant Toddler Early Learning Guidelines is a valuable resource for all early childhood professionals. This training will provide an orientation of the Infant Toddler Early Learning Guidelines Cognitive Development for infant/toddler teachers and how knowing these concepts can help preschool teachers.


Successful participants will meet the following Learning Objectives:

• Describe Piaget’s sensorimotor stage of cognitive development
• Create a list of 4-5 engaging materials to promote exploration for infants, toddlers and three year-olds
• Develop an open-ended activity to promote problem-solving skills
• List 3-4 ways to promote and support pretend play
• Create an inclusion strategy based on a scenario
