Classroom Management that Works Now: Practical System for Structure, Engagement, and Student Success




      


This session is designed for K-12 educators, instructional support staff, and campus leaders who need practical, current, and immediately usable classroom management strategies that work in today's classrooms.  The workshop moves beyond the idea that classroom managemnt is only about discipline and instead focuses on the systems that make effective teaching possible: clear expectations, consistent routines, strong classroom structure, active student engagement, and responsive relationship-building.

Participants will examine the difference between classroom management and classroom discipline, identify the routines and teacher moves that reduce disruption before it starts, and learn h ow to create classrooms where student know what to do, how to do it, and why it matters.  The session also addresses current classroom realities, including student disengagement, attention challenges, phone distractions, parent frustration, and the need to support diverse learners, including students receiving special education services and student with ADHD-related needs.
