Planning for Postsecondary Transition




      


In this full day session we will tackle three different transition topics designed to equip Texas educators with essential tools and strategies for effective transition planning. There will be instruction of the following topics, extension activities, as well as time for coaching and application.
-Transition Assessments create a comprehensive picture of each student's needs, strengths, preferences, and interests. The assessment process is essential for developing personalized transition plans and ensuring students receive the support they need to thrive. 
-Write Appropriate Measurable Postsecondary Goals that align with compliance requirements while also promoting student engagement in the transition process. Participants will gain knowledge on writing three types of meaningful and measurable postsecondary goals that empower students to actively contribute to their future planning.

Whether you are new to creating transition services or have experience, this session will guide you in crafting a clear, effective plan to facilitate smooth transitions for all
