Unlicensed Diabetic Care Assistant Training




      


This training is mandatory for non-licensed personnel. REQUIRED ANNUALLY. House Bill 984 requires that a campus that has a full time nurse, have one unlicensed diabetes assistant (UDCA). A campus that does not have a full time nurse must have 3 UDCAs. This is only if there is a student with diabetes, but it is better to meet the requirement all the time in the event a student is diagnosed or transfers in with diabetes.
