If your campus is required to engage in an ESF Diagnostic in the fall of 2024, student assignment submissions are required so that a Lever 4 Academic Review can be completed. The Lever 4 Academic Review assesses student assignments for alignment to state standards and research-based instructional strategies (RBIS) for both math and reading language arts (RLA) to determine student access to rigorous, grade-level instructional materials. The Center for Academic Review (CAR) has incorporated the results of this analysis into campus-level reports that provide greater insight into areas of improvement for participating schools to help campuses in the prioritization of ESF essential actions.
RLA and Math Teacher Leaders who attend this session will learn about required student assignment submissions at each grade level/subject area. Additionally, teacher leaders will be provided with work time to gather student assignments and complete cover pages for submission during the session. Upon return to campus, they will be able to provide student assignment artifacts to campus leadership for review and final submission prior to the due date in accordance with the ESF diagnostic timeline.
