STEM Education: Lamar University Beaumont Engineering Department


Teachers will attend Professional Development that examines STEM as it relates to the specified standards in the RFA and perform activities that will promote STEM in the classroom. The workshop will help teachers understand concepts useful for students pursuing careers in these fields of study.

Important Session Information:

The College of Engineering at Lamar University invites you to join us for a professional development workshop designed to equip STEM educators with hands-on strategies and tools for use in the classroom. The STEM Teacher Workshop will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM! 
Through this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn from our current faculty, staff, and students, as well as local engineers from the industry through various breakout sessions that range from STEM curriculum development, VEX robotics, student life, admissions and student aid, professional networking, career readiness, and more!
