Teaching Writing Well - Invigorate Instruction & Prepare Students for STAAR Writing




      


Educators will explore best practices and build on foundational knowledge and skills needed to implement writing.  We will focus on:

  • Implementing the writing process
  • Connecting reading and writing
  • Ways to incorporate reader's response
  • Using mentor text

Each participant will receive a composition book and Jennifer Servallo's book: The Writing Strategies Book,

Audience: Middle School & High School (through 10th grade)
