This workshop, a requirement from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), is for individuals who conduct vision and hearing screenings in school settings. Certifications expire every five years and may be renewed through this training. If you have the initial certification that has not expired yet or a provisional certification, you can take the recertification class. If you have never taken an in-person or online class or your initial certification expired, you will need to wait for basic hearing and basic vision classes NOTE: Participants who are 15 or more minutes late will be requested to reschedule this workshop. On the Registration page, please do not enter anything in the "Required Accommodations" box unless you have a special physical need that will require Region 5 ESC to make a special accommodation for you.
