In the Mathematics Achievement Academy Leadership Overview, participants will:

• Identify instructional components that develop fluency and number sense based on robust conceptual and procedural understandings.
• Review the structure of the Mathematics Achievement Academy system and make connections to teacher development.
• Understand appropriate applications of problem solving and discourse in the mathematics classroom.
• Identify components of the Mathematics Achievement Academies in instructional practices and support implementation of Mathematics Achievement Academy content.

Through hands-on activities focusing on number concepts and relationships, whole number operations, and beginning fract
