Utilizing Small Group Instruction in the Resource Setting (K-5)

Are your resource class numbers growing? This professional development session provides ideas and strategies for setting up and targeting small group instruction in the resource setting, based on reading and math TEKS, through tiered and specially designed instruction.

Important Session Information:

Tiered Instruction is a method that varies the level of assignments, so all students have a chance to find success and make progress. Teachers tier learning so students are working at different levels of the same task, some more difficult and challenging than others.

Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) is instruction that is tailored to a particular student. It addresses their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals; accounts for their disability; provides modifications or adaptations to content; and encourages access to the general education curriculum.
