Learn to apply a Multi-Tiered System of Supports for students with behavioral and emotional challenges. Key concepts will be examined, including: (1) structuring a Tier 1 universal school-wide behavior support; (2) employing timely, research-based interventions and practices for Tier 2 and Tier 3; (3) the role of functional assessments; (4) applying data-based decision-making; and (5) using RTI for identifying students with behavior/emotional disabilities. Practical suggestions for getting started will be outlined with time allotted for school teams to plan.
