7/13/2021 Classroom Organization: Setting up for Success in 2021
Under stress, we all struggle to show our best selves. Stress takes a toll on our reasoning, communication skills and overall good nature. One might say that we act and react in more extreme ways when times are stressful. Anyone living through 2020 understands very clearly the impact that stress can have on one’s life. Would you like to see 2021 have less stress? Then this is the session for you! As a teacher, you know the benefits of a well-organized classroom. The following are but a few reasons to spend a day together to set up your classroom for academic, social and behavioral success in the Fall:t to make the environment more predictable, to visually communicate what is expected throughout the environment, to reduce distractions, and to reduce stress and anxiety. There will be an opportunity to map out key areas in your classroom based on your projected student needs to set the stage for a positive learning environment. In addition, there will be materials and time for you to “make and take” specific visual supports to create labels for key areas, labels for well-organized materials, clear expectations, self-regulation tools and more. Through collaboration and purposeful planning, we can and will achieve less stress and MORE SUCCESS in 2021
