Research Based Strategies for Under Resourced Students
March 30, 2021

Studies estimate that some students from low-income backgrounds will lose an entire year of learning they would have otherwise gained without the interruption of the COVID 19 pandemic.  Providing students with the school experiences that can accelerate them back to grade level is possible through supported assignments and strong instruction.  A pathway for accomplishing this task will be laid out during this Research based workshop.  Topics that will be addressed include:

· Resource development

· Creating a sense of safety and belonging

· Providing support leading to student success with grade-appropriate assignments

· Effective instructional strategies for student mastery of grade-appropriate content
