Early Childhood Program Self-Assessment Prekindergarten for Vidor ISD

      


TEA created the Early Childhood Program Self-Assessment to assist administrators in evaluating their early childhood programs and making program adjustment to meet the needs of all students.

There are 8 components to the Early Childhood Program Self-Assessment Prekindergarten. This PD will focus on 3 of them.

Part 1 Facilitate Focus Groups of administrators and PK teachers to target subsections in the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment components. 

Part 2 After the Focus Groups,

a.  Deliver a report of strengths & weaknesses and determine a plan to support PK teacher

b. Explore how PK teachers support can be done with the free resources provided in the RECESS grant
