Rising to the Challenge: Trauma-Informed School Counseling Supports During the Pandemic

      Trauma-informed counseling supports create invaluable opportunities to support children through the difficult times in their lives. Participants in this program will first learn about trauma-informed practices and how to include them in their counseling program. Second, counselors will practice various strategies and activities that they can use in their own counseling sessions. Participants will leave the session with a blueprint for effective trauma-informed counseling that they can use on their own campuses. They will also receive a 3-point plan for supporting students through the traumatic experience of the COVID pandemic.
