  This workshop is focuses on instructional planning and providing developmentally appropriate learning activities for preschoolers to develop the essential early literacy skill of Phonological Awareness.  In addition, participants will learn how to observe and assess young children’s Phonological Awareness skills.


Important Session Information:


This workshop will cover:

  • Review the phonological awareness continuum.
  • Analyze the use of phonological awareness activities in their own classroom.
  • Design a phonological awareness transition activity.
  • Understand the difference between letter knowledge and phonological awareness.

Identify ways teachers can use assessment results to benefit individual children.
