The state mandated TCOLE 4063 Course is accredited by TCOLE. This course was developed to instruct school-based law enforcement officers in the areas required by Texas Education Code Sec. 37,0812.

Officers will learn to identify and respond to students who may have a mental health need and develop critical skills and capacity to appropriately respond to behavior issues that are typically observed among adolescents with mental health needs.

Topics include: restorative justice, mental health crisis intervention, de-Escalation techniques and techniques for limiting the use of force, mental and behavioral health needs of children with disabilities or special needs and adolescent brain.
