All CE's are encouraged to attend this in-depth training. Detailed instruction for the required Child Nutrition Program "Financial Repot" will be presented and discussed at this time. This required report is due and must be submitted by April1, 2019. Each CE must use data that reports all program and non-program revenue and expenses from the prior fiscal year. (July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.)
The second part of this training covers the Community Eligibility Provision. The Community Eligibility Provision is an alternative to household applications for free and reduced price meals in high poverty Districts and schools. CE's ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE TDA WITH A LIST OF SCHOOLS ELIGIBLE OR POTENTIALLY ELIGIBLE FOR THE CEP PROVISION, REGARDLESS OF THEIR INTENT TO PARTICIPATE IN CEP.
This training will include instructions on filling out this required report, training on the basics of CEP, the ISp, and the impact CEP has on other programs. It will also include a timeline of reporting, and other actions that are required once an LEA has become a CEP school.
Business managers for CE's are also invited to attend both of these training's. Note that the Financial Training will be offered the first part of the day, in case some participants do not wish to stay all day. All participants are invited to stay for lunch.
