Recommended for diagnosticians and LSSPs

This session will cover the identification of the condition of Dyslexia with and without an identified Specific Learning Disability in the areas of Reading Fluency and/or Basic Reading Skills.

Child Find and Dyslexia; Dyslexia and 504; in addition to Dyslexia and IDEA will be reviewed.  Writing instructional recommendations for struggling readers will be presented and participants will be provided resources for instructional recommendations and the identification of reading disabilities.
 
Participants will receive copies of Revealing Minds by Dr. Craig Pohlman, Reading Assessment by Dr. Melissa Farrall, and Essentials of Assessing, Preventing and Overcoming Reading Difficulties by Dr. David Kilpatrick.
