CNP Financial Management for Directors 3.22.2018

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program provide free or low-cost meals to millions of school children each day. Managing the financial resources of these programs is critical to ensure programs uphold the highest standards for nutrition and quality. Designed to help school nutrition managers and directors make decisions about long-term goals for the program that will ensure sustainability, this workshop will demonstrate how good financial management is critical for successful school nutrition programs.  The ability to interpret the financial outcomes of operational decisions is essential to effective management of these programs. Training includes procedures for consistently recording financial data, recommendations for generating standard financial reports, and guidelines or interpreting the outcomes of financial decisions.
